Hi Folks I have a Boston Acoustics Soundware S speaker system (5.1) My Subwoofer stopped working and on checking found that the fuse had blown. Replacing the fuse did not help as the fuse blew again. Opening up the sub woofer i find that the Power unit of the subwoofer is completely burnt out. I need help in trying to repair it. Does anyone have the schematics for the same Refer to images for condition of the board. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Hi, and welcome to the forum. Unfortunately I was unable to find the service manual for this unit, so at this point repairing the power supply is less likely. What would be possible is to substitute the power supply with some generic unit. As I see there are two separate voltage outputs from this power supply CN4 and CN6, CN6 being a low power output, probably for the preamp section and CN4 for the power amplifier. We can guesstimate the output voltage of the unit if you help identifying the voltage rating of the circled caps, seen below:

Thanks for the welcome and advice. The board is currently with someone else who is trying to repair it. I should get it back in a day or two. As soon as i get it I will provide the information required. I would definitely want to replace this board as in many places the burn seems to have gone right through the board and repairing it might only be a temporary solution for now.
