Sorry, but I fail to understand: Which is which in which picture? Is what is shown a good or bad result?

Sorry i was a bit in a hurry there.
The picture is of the new Panasonic UHD player series, this specifikly a UB424 all using the same processor including the UB9000
left pic is standard setting the right is chroma sharpness set to -4 ilustrating the huge amount of distortion Panasonic adds.
My best bet is that the processor eats a serious amount of chroma bandwidth, wich they boosted, and the ringing is a side effect, setting the chroma to +4 is a compromise between ringing and chroma bandwidth, the results are identical for both HD and UHD content.
