KTC3964 is Q409. They do have the KSA's though. If you think you want to order from them I will post the links to the KSA's. Otherwise I won't waste the time. Oops, I don't know why I was looking at that part mine is fine. For the KSA'a I was adding the F at the end and it didn't come up. Thanks Mac. Parts ordered

Ok I installed all the parts. Put the amp in temporarily Did the reset and it turned on woo hop!!!
Ran it for a little while on tuner. Checked all speakers they work fine. Decided to try the optical in from my computer's optical out. No sound at first then I realized i had to change the comps settings. got sound then the amp shut down.
Tried to power up nothing, powered up with the reset procedure but shut down again. removed amp checked everything and it all seems ok. put amp back in to try again. test procedure this time shows an over heat error then shuts down.
So where to next?
One thing, the 100ohm parts I had to replace i did not have 1 watt's and am temporarily using 1/4 war but the leads are thicker than the originals .
But i measured them when i tested the amp and they are fine as are the parts around them.

Recheck the flat ribbon cables. Sometimes 1 or more of the copper traces on the edge of the ribbon will catch and peel back a little. If you do find any, just push back and flatten and be extra careful when reinserting.
Also make sure all boards and cables are connected and all the screws of the back panel are installed.

Ok I didn't have all the screws in for testing. Probably not a good ground for the heat sink. let me button her up good. So the cover should be on as well correct? Nashou

Ok its all back and now it just shuts down. It was working for a while before. I wonder what is wrong. One thing I did notice was the one surround Binding posts the speaker wire did not work if I pushed it in to the hole where hanna plug would go, so I used the side hole and tightened it down and it worked then. And that speaker was connected when it first shut off. I wonder if the binding posts are shorting out? But that amp measured fine on the board. Nashou

I have seen where on the back side of those binding posts, the metal strap that runs down the back and into the board had become bent from a bump on the binding post and the pos strap was touching the ground strap, if you know what I mean. They are not far apart.

Probably wouldn't hurt to ohm test each speaker outs across the pos and neg to see if there are any shorts. Even though the relays are open.

Nope, nothing no shorts between neg and pos speaker outs. Just turns on for a few seconds then shuts down.

How hard is it to get at connectors CP402, CP403 and CP404 on the amp board while it is still together?

How hard is it to get at connectors CP402, CP403 and CP404 on the amp board while it is still together? these are all on the amp board correct? I can see designation for CP403 the others I assume 402 and 404. one has the thermal marking and DC DET they go to a vertical board on the side. I can remove the HDMI board and swing it out of the way while it is still connected. the other two have the transformer in the way a bit but I maybe be able to get a probe ingot he connectors but not from the bottom of the board.
