Hi there, A friend of mine recently acquired a NEC XG 110LC (1101) projector, it was supposed to work, but it does not... In standby the display toggles between 00 and EF and won't turn on at all. It is some sort of EEPROM corruption. I haven't seen the machine yet, but the guy assured me that there is no obvious sign of failure on the boards. To my advice he also reseated the boards, without luck. My next idea would be to try to communicate with the projector through RS232 (I have an old dedicated laptop for this)... What else?

What a surprise. An easy fix for a change, lol. Glad it worked out for your friend.

In the meantime I feel myself ashamed, because I should have known this... Although I never had to perform this on any of my units. Also I was checking the manual, and there was nothing in the board level adjustment section, nor in the troubleshoot section. By the look of it this was mentioned in the theory of operation section...
