I have a 916 here that is not working as it should. It had a number of issues I resolved.

Hi Everyone, I got here a Bic 916MP that I said I would look at for my Local Record store owner. One of his customer brought it in.
First thing that was wrong was the platter was frozen to the Spindle. Got that sorted and got it to move freely.
Second was one of the mechanisms arms above the cam gear was also frozen, Cleaned it up re greased it and it moves freely.
Third , I was looking at the circuit board to see if any caps or resters were visually bad and I touched the Crystal clock and it moved !! I pulled on it lightly and it came right off the circuit board!!! Ah Ha!!!
So I removed the board, cleaned it with Denatured Alcohol and soldered the Clock back in. And went over the connector solder joints as well. , Also there were two translators mounted to the chassis base. One was
mounted with solder past and a mica insulation pad. that transistor was loose and cocked a bit off the pad.
I removed it cleaned the old thermal paste off and reapplied new paste and secured the transistor firmly in place.
I put it all back together and I got the display came on and the platter turned !!!
Woo Hoo, I put on a record and listened to one side completely. I then preceded to
adjust tracking force and alignment. when I went to play a record , it would move!!!
The pulley would shiver but not turn the plater. the plater would move freely if I helped it but would slow down
and not move. I removed the platter and belt and if you touched the pulley it would either stop, go back wards or spin in the correct direction. WTF?!?!
So I took a break and ate. Went back to turn it on and the platter spun!!! SO I am thinking maybe its a heat related issue? I let it run for about 20 minutes and decide to play a record. While it was spinning i dropped a record, I know never do this, and at the same time moved the control slide lever from Man to Auto and there platter stopped. WTF!!! It went back too doing the same thing.
And another thing I just noticed as I am typing this, My room mate pointed it out as I went to try it once more.
I high pitched faint 2-3 kHz tone is coming from the speakers!!!
Any advice would be welcome.
I wonder if a re cap and testing of all the transistors is in store. Maybe a new clock as it might have been damaged.
One other thing not sure if this is normal, the display will flicker every so often.
