Hi all on a dark scene i am getting a very light red flash, which looking into the lens is quite obvious. If i go into the colour select menu and turn red off, the red tubeface will occationally light up for a half second with clearly visible retrace lines everywhere. Its not lighting up full bright, maybe 3-5% or so, but when it does the retrace lines can be clearly seen. Green and blue do not show this issue at all. Thanks all

Check the G2 wire if they are secure.

Hello, Can you swap the connections, going to the neckboards/video amps ? Robin They dont reach, the smaller plug does, but the larger does not. If the cables are not long enough to swap between that red and the green then you have to lengthen the wires until they do reach. Either that or swap out the red tube with a known good one. Right know though, knowing you turned off the red video signal and it was still flashing occasionally I would think it is the red tube itself. If that is the case you could try taking a piece of wood and knocking on the tube neck near the neck board to try to loosen any contamination. Just don't wack it to hard, lol. Ideally you should remove the tube and place it on the tube face and wack the neck with the wood so the contamination would fall into the larger end of the tube. Also maybe pull out those G2 cables and check for any corrosion and wiggle them where they are glued to the tube bell just to be sure . Have fun, lol.

Yes i tend to think it will be the tube, i have swapped every other board in the set with no change at all.
Be good if i can get the red out without having to remove the frame it bolts to.

Something must be dragging something down somewhere, the black level on the blue tube is up a bit, cutoff is set down about 30, raster still visible.
Red and green are in the mid to high 40s for their cutoff, but raster not visible.
Why would that be? Any ideas?
