Hello to all our members and everyone else around the world. I was wondering how everyone is doing with the virus situation. I am sure others here are also wondering. Please respond with how you are dealing with it and how your location is doing. Thanks to all and hope you are all safe.

Here in Hungary the virus came late (officially at least) around early March. The government was quick to take serious steps -after seeing how the thing in Italy went. The official numbers are not among the worst: the population is ~9.7M, as of today there are 675 official cases, so far 32 deaaths and 19k samples taken. Now the number of samples taken is really low, so that explains somewhat the low number of cases, and the deaths are higher than expected therefore. Some estimate the real number of infected people can be even 10x higher here... Public events are turned down, non essential shops have to close at 3PM, there is a time slot for eldery to do shopping 9AM-12AM (this time no yunger than 65 can go to shops) and vice versa, etc. I am partially working home office, partially work in the real office (have to wear mask). At work we were set at ease for our job security, we develop and manufacture industrial equipments for various electronics related companies. most of them based on far-east, and they went over this quickly as it seems, we even get new orders... Personally I haven't heard/know anyone who caught the disease.

Similar things here in the US but just so many people are just ignoring all the warnings and think they are invincible. In my state we have a stay at home order for around a week and I see traffic still travelling on roads I can see from my house. I even hear from friends and relatives on the phone or internet and they are saying they have been going here and there and my response is, "what is wrong with you?" But the mentality is that it wont happen to them. Many here in the US are just not taking this seriously enough and probably why the numbers are growing so rapidly. I am fine with just staying home and finding things to occupy myself.

Here in Ontario Canada most people seem to be heeding the message about social distancing along with wearing masks in most stores etc. However, that does not prevent people from doing their own thing and disregarding all the rules. They believe it is their right and it is also their right to be very sick or dead as well. Some people think that the virus is a hoax set up by the Gov't
Our numbers have been manageable but are rising now that we are in Stage 3 with bars, etc open and more close contact. The only real solution is a vaccine for everyone. I am fine with staying home and working on my projects and woodworking.
We will survive as mankind always does, so stay safe and secure
