Hi All this afternoon i did some projector adjustments and i uses a very "heavy" test pattern a full screen with blocks of 1on 1 off H and V lines After using this for about 20 minutes everything started to shake heavily see here: cernbox.cern.ch/index.php/s/4fAWtnU5KH05iHMWhen loading another picture it stopped and when I went back to the first test pattern the shaking was gone but came back slowly. I stopped the projector and i did a small modification to the HDMI card (shorting a ferrite bead of the green channel) when I put the card back in the projector it didn't give any image. It starts up normally. All the fans came up but no HV crackle. It looks as if the projector switched off after having no sync for a few seconds then it also stops the HV. I tried to reseat the HDM but no luck. Thats's it for the moment I didn't have more time I hope it's not the HVPS because I don't have a spare for that. I have another HDM but since the projector starts up I doubt that it is that. Regards, Ron

The projector will start up even if you only have a CLM and an LVPS. To get HV you need obviously the LVPS plus: HDM, a VDM and a VIM (VNBd are not needed but highly recommended obviously). Check the error LEDs both on LVPS and on the CLM.

Thanks Gabor,
I didn't know that the set starts up without HDM. I could then well be the HDM looking at the strange shaking. It was horizontal so that should be caused by the HDM. I have a spare HDM so I'll try that.

Ron.

Hi Gabor,
I Think I found the problem.
I changed to the other HDM and then projector starts up but there is no H sync.
I now suspect that I have damaged something on the moome card and that it is not giving sync anymore.
this explains also why it didn't work with the other HDM because that one is a special one without the relays and when I switch to another HDMI input on the MOOME without something connected to that input the HV shuts down also because there is no sync.
I'll now try to power the moome outside the projector and see if I have sync signals coming in.
It could also be something on the VIM. I saw somewhere in the forum that you told Kurt to replace a chip in the sync circuit. The distortion in the clip in this thread shows also some horizontal shaking and this could be related to this problem.
regards, Ron
