I learned to do component repair in a past life when I owned a business refurbishing pinball machines and worked on most systems. I even did old mechanical machines though the memories of those are fading... About the only brand I didn't do much with was Gottlieb.

Most solid state pinball machines are very easy to repair once you get the basics down. It all comes down from starting with the mechanicals and then moving into matrices...
