I downloaded the service manual and looked at it.
That's probably a bit too complex for me to understand all of this, you need a high school diploma for that.
As I said, there is voltage everywhere on these coils! Can it still be that something is missing in the circuit?
Yesterday I quickly ordered two DSP chips on Aliexpress and they will arrive here in 10 days.
You can adjust the speed on this Dremel and do everything in peace and stress, so nothing bad should happen.
I have a programmer and adapter for these flash memory modules that shouldn't be a problem.
What will be a little difficult is to find a suitable dispenser that can take time, the devices are really expensive here in Germany

Page 25 of ARP4004 shows the schematic for all the voltage regulators on the digital board. There are lots of them!
You need to check the DSP block ones. There will be several different voltages for each DSP chip and if any are missing then the chip won't power up whether you fit a new one or not.
A 3 or 5 pin voltage regulator is much easier and cheaper to replace than a hundred plus pin QFP device, so worth studying that page of the schematic and tracing where the voltages are.
Some may be on the reverse of the board but they usually put the electrolytic capacitors for each supply on the top side, so try to identify the ones that have the DSP supply volts on them.

I only looked from page 26 and there I reached my limits a bit, but whether or not I have to take the time to look again.
Yes, of course, it is less work than replacing this DSP. What just amazes me is that this device has shown this UE22 error in the display. Can it simply come from a lack of voltage?
After this update, the UE22 error had strangely disappeared, just no more sound and the device could not be updated anymore.

The UE22 appeared because one or both DSP chips have failed, or have lost their power supply voltage. Attempting to update the firmware corrupts the flash memory and the UE22 goes away, so now you have two problems. I have seen this happen on my SC-LX56, 86 and VSX-LX55.

Ok yes that sounds logical so far.
So this is a major hardware and software damage ...
It's a shame about this beautiful amplifier.
Seems to pull itself through all of Pionner's DSP series.

Looking at your photos the firmware in your receiver is AVR16Z_0412 and the version you're trying to load is an older one, AVR16Z_406. This may not help.

Instead of trying to navigate the schematic diagram you may find the power block diagram easier first. That shows the 3 voltage regulators you need to check on Page 19 of the manual RRV4617. Once you find those on the schematic, locate the big capacitors on their output.

The voltage regulators you need to check are IC9513 3V3, IC9514 1V3 and IC9518 1V0.
From what I can see these are the 3 main supplies for the DSP chips and memory.

No idea what the previous owner tried to play up for firmware.
It was the latest firmware that I could find on the Pioneer homepage for the device, but it cannot be installed only up to 60%.
Really perfect assistance from you, thank you for that!
Otherwise I would have no plan where to look.

I have both those versions in my Pioneer receiver archive but not sure where I got the newer one from. It's not on the Pioneer website though.
The file is too big to post on here and probably too big to send by email. May be able to use something like Drop box to share it.

It would be worth trying out these two versions or.
Yes DropBox would go.

Thank you very much.
I'll try it out tonight I'm still at work ...
I'm curious whether that was even the mistake.

It is worth a try and you have nothing to lose as the damage is already done. Normally the receiver won't load an older version firmware.
