Guess those mods were easy sold back in the laserdisc days when nobody had a clue how to calibrate, i know for a fact that Chris Stephens HVPS mod introduce heavy crosstalk, and when calibrating you will se that the color gamut is around 60% Rec709, no doubt it will look different, ill prefer a standard 1996 Marquee any day of the week, with standard cables and caps.
