The TX-NR717 NR-818 Integra DTR-40.4 and Integra 50.4 all use the same HDMI PCB but they all end up with a different PCA. IIRC, the Integra 50.4 is the most similar but while Onkyo uses the same Printed Circuit Board for all of these units, they assemble each model with different parts in order to deliver different features in each model. What this means is that you you might be able to use an Integra 50.4 without too much trouble (electrically it is basically the same model as an NR-818) but to get the 30.4 or the NR-717 to work, you would need to move some parts from your old NR-818 board to the NR-717 board. I have done this kind of thing multiple times and it is quite time consuming because you have to spend hours poring over the schematics to make sure you have moved everything. It is not as simple as a visual check because in some cases, resistor values change as well.

I've had pads lift away on BGA DSPs and sometimes you can get away with it. If they are ground or power pads it doesn't always matter because there are multiple connections. Also some pads are not used.
I would check the service manual to see which connections are damaged before writing the board off.
