Hello all,
I'm here because I bought an LX56 for 30euros, with the "no sound" issue.
So. My first think was the two DSP, but, I have not the UE22 error displayed ...
All functions are ok, net music work (radio name displayed on the screen..), and the firmware version is good ( 1-203-084-513-160 ), no "xxx" displayed.
I tryed to reflow the DSP, it is an easy package on this model.
With my scope, I traced the audio signal, with CD input selected and PURE AUDIO selected, I see that the signal is lost after the select input IC.
The strange think is that I don't see the signal sent to the input/volume IC qhen I play with the vol/input selector on the front of the amplifier. It seems that the UC on the front PCB don't send the orders to main board...
Do you have an idea for me ?

If your firmware is displayed correctly and all other functions are good then I don't think it's a DSP chip failure.
Before attempting to replace that, you need to test all the voltage regulators on the D-MAIN and AUDIO and DAC boards. Just one of these down will take out all or some channels and the amp will be silent.
Unfortunately most of these are tiny 3 and 5 pin surface mount devices and are on the underside of the boards. This means you have to identify them in the schematic and attach wires to them so you can check their output. It is time consuming but if it's just one regulator it will be a very cheap and easy fix compared to the DSP chip.
