For anyone trying to repair Pioneer/Onkyo receivers with faulty TI DSPs... it is quite well known that most of the Aliexpress BGA ones (D810/D830) for sale are either fakes or used ones remarked with a newer part number.
The QFP devices (D808) are also now being faked and sold at ever increasing prices. Beware that the sellers won't negotiate on the return of these counterfeit parts and Aliexpress admin fully support them when you open a dispute.
Please think twice before ordering this garbage from Aliexpress because the devices you receive won't work and won't fix your product plus and most importantly you WON'T get your money back from this Chinese counterfeit bazaar.

As Tj said, buy original boards, from Ebay and use those ICs.

I can agree to 110% all D810/D830 BGA‘s from Ali back than I buy was fake and not working!
The Ali support get‘s also worse and worse sadly true… The 4x D810 D i buy was all four clearly reprint and also not working in a Pioneer SC-LX 85 I try these garbage BGA‘s three times there and also reball the garbage because I was thinking the alignment was not good or so but no these fakes can’t work even you put these 100% good on the Board! And yes I have a 100% good FW Dump from a genuine working Pio 85 and Onkyo 818 also these don’t bring the Ali garbage to work!!! The Pio 85 works now with two genuine D‘s and also the Onkyo 818 with a genuine D and it proves also my theory with these garbage Ali stuff!
I must send the Ali support also a video file because there think really I scam these or what unbelievable for me sorry… I must pay also than the shipping back to China otherwise I don’t get my 70€ back from Ali support for the 4x D810 D Fake what is clearly wrong but I must play the game otherwise you lost!!!
The two fake D830 B I get my money back without sending it back after open a dispute! The BGA‘s I buy and all from these don’t work so 100% fail rate are from:
Annuosen Store -> 2x D830B 400Mhz ChenJiaFeng IC Store -> 4x D810 D all clearly relabel IC-Chip Store -> these cancel my order after I pay 4x D810 D so I think also fake garbage
And now what andyb1712 wrote that also the QFP‘s are fake ones is a nightmare because all I buy back than works but one was not working well and these came also from AiNa IC Store I buy back than two D808 D‘s there… The one I use is strange because it gave audio only free after 10s after the amp is power on so not working well and the second one I have in stock an must try out but I guess it have the same error sadly… But these look genuine and not so badly poor fakes andyb1712 show me!
So guy‘s I can tell you these BGA‘s are all fake and now maybe also the QFP‘s now so that makes than no fun to work on these amp‘s than anymore sadly…

@ xXFREDBERTXx
I am still waiting for a resolution to my dispute with AiNa Store over their counterfeit parts but expect the Ali admin to find in favour of their buddies that form the Chinese fake chip mafia. Whichever way the result goes, I doubt I'll use Aliexpress again and will probably close my account on there.
@ tibimakai
TJ is right about using newer Onkyo models to source used D830/810 'D' BGA chips for repairs but often these are worth more than the older models you're trying to fix. The boards are non existent for sale on eBay UK, so you have to buy a whole unit and scrap it. The D808 D chips are used in newer Pioneers but like their Onkyo counterparts are worth a lot more so it doesn't make sense to scrap them.
Buying parts like this from Aliexpress is a unlucky dip and despite their '100% Buyer Protection' claim... it is the total opposite and '100% Scam Seller protection'.

Recently I have purchased from two separate sources HDMI chips, and none of them worked.

I don't even ask for the money, because I can't prove anything.

I opened a dispute with the Aliexpress seller and eventually the admin stepped in. Initially it looked like they were going to find in favour of the seller until I said I would send the parts to Texas Instruments in Dallas rather than send them back. Suddenly my claim for counterfeit parts was accepted and I received a full refund.
I still won't buy their garbage again though and their fake chips went in the bin. My 1 star feedback will hopefully put others off buying this rubbish too.

Good news @ andyb1712 that you get a full refund from these fake 💩
I also think there have fear now that you send these to TI for check up that garbage ☝️
I agree your one star feedback is a big big lost for the Ali trader now and also hopefully prevent more technician to buy there the 💩
I also don’t buy there again my stuff it is a real time and money waist ☝️

Manufacturer won't sell these to customers/stores, only to manufacturers, like Onkyo, Pioneer, etc. Your only safe bet is buying a broken board and harvest the chip from it.

Are there any sources left for these chips.... ? I'm working on a SC-LX86 and DSP 2 is faulty D808K013CPTP400. I see people advertising repair services for these so they must be sourcing their chips from somewhere.... Also does anyone have a list compiled of which receivers use which chips. Armed with that info I'm hoping I could search on ebay for faulty receiver to use as a DSP donor....
