Hi,
I have a bought a broken NR3030. There is no output from the HDMI and some of the the firmware versions are garbled.
When I got it I had:
Main : 1.09/17X19AM
DSP 1st/Net : 1.12/19Z20AMA
DSP 2nd : 1.01/14930AMA
Video : 1.02/14Z10AM
VSP(kyotoG2H): ?
HDCP(RogueTX): ?
HDCP(RogueRX): ?
OSD(Sparta) : 1.00/14219AM
DSP 1st/Net : 1.12/19Z20AMA
DSP 2nd : 1.01/14930AMA
Video : 1.02/14Z10AM
VSP(kyotoG2H): ?
HDCP(RogueTX): ?
HDCP(RogueRX): ?
OSD(Sparta) : 1.00/14219AM
I tried a USB firmware update and I now have lost DSP2
Main : 1.09/17X19AM
DSP 1st/Net : 1.12/19Z20AMA
DSP 2nd : ?
Video : 1.02/14Z10AM
VSP(kyotoG2H): ?
HDCP(RogueTX): ?
HDCP(RogueRX): ?
OSD(Sparta) : 1.00/14219AM
DSP 1st/Net : 1.12/19Z20AMA
DSP 2nd : ?
Video : 1.02/14Z10AM
VSP(kyotoG2H): ?
HDCP(RogueTX): ?
HDCP(RogueRX): ?
OSD(Sparta) : 1.00/14219AM
The HDMI board is modern i.e. newer model DSPs D830K013DZKB5 & D810K013DZKB4 and it has no can type electrolytic capacitors
The board also has the following headers:
P8301 (Sparta), P3301 (DSP2), P8104 (kyoto), P8501 (rx) & P8503 (tx) are 8 pin SPI memory writer ports
P8702 (VMPU) & P3103A (DSP1) 9 pin UART
P8702 (VMPU) & P3103A (DSP1) 9 pin UART
I can connect to both of the UARTs to see the console output from the main CPU and examine parameters in the video processor.
The machine also exposes the standard telnet port for root access over the network
If I try and update either of the missing HDCP firmware it downloads and updates (lots of errorless console output) and completes but the version remains garbled
It is a similar story with the VSP, it appears to complete but the version remains garbled.
If I try and update the DSP 2nd it gets to 98% and then fails with error!! 1-33

Questions:
1) Can anyone give me the set of version numbers that should be visible for each component for the latest 114 firmware?
2) Has anyone seen an issue like this? It's almost as if a firmware update has gone wrong and left incoherent versions.
3) Is there a way to get out of this? The chips containing the missing firmware all appear to communicate with the MPU.
4) If you cycle through the USB firmware update then there are more items to update than there are versions mentions e.g. DA830
I have lots and lots of debug output if anyone is interested.
