In your other post you wrote that you where ignored. Did you read Hulio's response? He advised on checking caps for the standby voltage. That post was quickly removed. What do your leds read? Leds on the second smps, horizontal and eht. Good day Redfox ,thanks again for your response. This is another cinemax that i use to swap boards with, it has always been working fine. The other cinemax is working smoothly now, i followed Hulio's tips and changed the caps. But it was more a readjustment of the raster width and 17v rail that fixed the power up issue. This was also pointed out by Hulio. This second one , i would assume no eht fail or scan fail and i can actually see the leds light up. No scan fail leds lit because it shoot out the video for a minute, then turned off. After repeatedly switching it on, it just would shut down immediately after all leds in G2 diagnostic board lights up. I am planning to swap out the smps and h def board, but would welcome any suggestions.

HI Guys.
Hope anyone can help.
My cinemax is shutting down after powering up with image or video.
I can hear clicking noise inside when it is on for a few seconds than it shuts down.
It is like the protection circuit kicking up and shutting it down.
I was testing it for a few days w/ a lumagen and the moome port 3 barco card.
I was able to have the lumagen sync with my ps3 after inserting an HDfury Doctor hdmi between the PS3 and Lumagen.
The Pj was working normally for the past three days until tonight.
Is it possible that the H board is the culprit ? i did not smell or felt anything burning or arcing , just mainly clicking noises.

Hi guys i am back,
Thanks for welcoming me to your site.
Case, always a pleasure to hear from you. always read your post on the other site
I again want to say that it is great to own a crt pj and to have a support forum like this.
It is so vital to keep the crt pj going, because it really does project a very good image over digital pjs.
I just want to post my own thoughts on 4k digital pjs over crts at 1080p.
This past Sunday, had the chance to check out the sony vw500es 4k pj(10k + USD ) in a hifi store. They used a 4k demo Disc with Tom Cruise' oblivion as sample. I noticed right away the flatness of the image or the depth of the image was not there. And also along with it the depth of color was missing. It is not as close to film but more like a computer graphic rendered image. Crt is very close to film especially when you get it to project a sharp image, it does not have to be as sharp as digital , but just enough as our 20/20 vision would preceive as lifelike. The sense of depth in crt, convinces us we are viewing a natural scene. Plus black is an actual color in real life and crt. In digital pjs black does not exist. Yes, a digital tv box woud do contrast and black levels well , but for how much and what size? We prefer PJs for its ability to project a big image and its the ability to adjust the screen proportions.
9 inch Crts plus a good video processor or an oppo player is way better and cheaper than a single 4k digital pjs. Nothing is gonna take me away from my Barco Crt for now.

HI and good day to all. I am just very glad this site exists. Thanks to Hulio and redfox and pcguy for their advice. Because of these guys and this site of course,i was confident enough to bring it up to specs. My cinemax had a startup issue earlier ( about a month back ) and it has been fixed and running smoothly. Basically , my Pj started to not power up from standby. I have started posting on another crt site for help and advice. But was almost ignored. Fortunately , i was advised to go this site and was to able reference the service manual. and so I just readjusted the 17volts, raster width P200 and the h raster from the menu to get it to work smoothly. It has been three weeks of nightly viewing and still no issues. Thanks a million guys for keeping this hobby alive.
