Isn't the ABL line you are seeing ? Robin That is possible, but that doesnt explain the glowing ball on shut down, the blue doesnt do that, although i have one blue that does.

Hi all Ive now got a red and a green with what looks to be a contamination issue, when looking into the lenses on a black screen there is a glow coming from the bottom of the tube that is off the phosphor surface, and when the set is shut off, the glowing ball appears and shrinks in the center of the tube face. What causes this? One is my genuine Barco red, the best red tube of my bunch, the other is my Eisemann simulation grade green, also the best green of my bunch.

Hi all Has anyone tried high resolutions in an interlaced format yet? I have run both 2560x1440 and 2560x1600 @ both 48Hz and 60Hz, using a PC with nvidia card and making custom resolutions. 2560x1440p @48hz was very good for 720p material, it looked nicer than the 1920x1080p image did.

I remember having the same problem with the SR2 security resistor in my CineMax. Dummyload in august 2015 wrote that the problem was caused precisely by the bad modification of the R50 resistor in the controller board. repairalmostanything.com/post/4752/threadWhere is Dummyload these days?

Hello, Just to share about a random finding ; about this DB15 we were suprised about, this has been well implemented at some point, this appear to be in Index 4 revision of the mainboard. Robin My 909 has a DB15 for PORT3 as well, my Cine 9 has the regular DB9.

SR2 is a sacrificial resistor if im not mistaken Yes, "SR" is for Security Resistor. These are flameproof and used like a fuse. For exactly that situation. Seems odd that its blowing that one on every convergence board when that system board is used

It'spossible these compnents needed to be even closer of each other. So as as they are well listed in the partlist, that's well intended, and should be redone that way. Robin The second scheme is different also in many many other components. Many should be changed. I hope to restored that section despite the great difficulty in welding very small tracks. Then I inserted the drawer but after a few minutes the resistor R208 of the convergence board has smoke due to excessive heat. They was detached from pcb. I measured it and it's good but obviously there's something wrong. Those few seconds when I saw the screen there were still the wavy lines. SR2 is a sacrificial resistor if im not mistaken, is it blowing this resistor on every convergence board you throw in there?

Problem sorted, bluray player had 24p set to on, and when the projector synced to that it would shut off with a lamp fault. Well there you go. Problem solved. Yeah, the stupid thing is the Epson and the Dell will deal with that signal fine, so i never even thought to look toward that!

Yeah i just had it running for about 2 hours on multiple resolutions with the PC, even got the nvidia 3D Vision to function correctly on it.
Regardless of res on the PC, it never played up at all, swapped to the bluray player and it ran fine on 720p til i swapped discs, then it died, same issue.
I am starting to think this is no fault of the projector as such, but the 3D Fury sends it to a safe shut down of some sort?

So a further test, the IN34 is connected to the PC at the moment, been running 2 hours without a hitch... Running at 1280x1024 75Hz...
So it only plays up when connected to the HD Fury 4 and output is 1280x720p 72Hz.
