Glad to hear all is working well again. You are welcome. Hey RVspecialist, I need your help again. After I installed the new Voltage Regulator I plugged everything in to the generator and started it up and walked inside and saw that the TV and microwave were working again so I said ok, all is good. Today we just had a power outage in the RV park that lasted for about 18 hours. So first thing this morning I plugged the 50 Amp cord into the generator and fired it up. All was good, After about 10 minutes I noticed it was still a little warm in the RV so I felt the air volume coming out of the air ducts and it seemed about half to 2/3rds power. 10 minutes later it's getting hotter in here and I checked the ducts an the air was warm, like the compressor wasn't engaging, so I shut the a/c system off. The TV, Microwave, fridge were all working on a/c electricity, but the A/C previously felt weak air pressure coming from the ducts. I have 2 roof A/C units. the living room A/C make more noise when running so I mostly use the rear A/C. When I fired up the Front A/C, I noticed the normal noise was very quiet and the air was cool but not moving a great amount of air like normal so I shut both off. When the power come back on tonight Both A/C's working good again. So the generator is putting out power but not enough to run the A/C units, but everything else, previously I could run both A/C units and everything else with the generator with no problem. Did I somehow get the wrong voltage regulator? help. |

Did you try testing the AC voltage at an outlet with your DMM?

Glad to hear all is working well again. You are welcome. Hey RVspecialist, I'm still having problems. The generator is putting out power but not enough to power the roof a/c units. |

Did you try testing the AC voltage at an outlet with your DMM? Great your still here, It's 8:00 in the morning here, I'll wait untill about 10:00 and test it and post back. |

Plugged into shore power I get 119 volts at a kitchen outlet. With the generator running I got 5.4 volts at each side on the 50 amp generator outlet. Ok with generator running and plugged into the 50 amp outlet I got 107.5 volts at the same kitchen outlet. |

Is that 107.5 with both AC's running? No, both AC's were off, the TV was on and the laptop computer were on. I'm afraid to run the AC's on low voltage. I think it was about 20 years ago I remember I burnt out a compressor in the AC on a small Class C motorhome I had. It was a similar situation, I could tell the AC was not putting out its normal air flow but ran it all night anyway, when we woke up in the morning it was blowing hot. The RV shop said it was cheaper to install a new Roof Ac. I can hook it up again and test with both AC's on if you like. |

I need to know what it is when they are running. Ok, 103 ,104 with one AC running, 101 when both kicked on, then I turned on the Keurig coffee maker and it went down to 97, 98 Now back on shore power with both AC's running, tv, laptop and Fridge on, 116.9 volts, turned on Keurig coffee maker and 114, 115 volts on initial start up then a minute later back to 117. |

When I installed the new Voltage Regulator I removed one wire at a time and connected to the new VR, so I know I put the right wire on the right terminal. I think I'll go ahead and pull the plastic cover off and see if something came unhooked. Now yesterday when I basically ran the generator all day just to have a TV to watch I left the AC units off. So It ran for 7 or 8 hours.
