Your AC voltage is to low. Normally your AC frequency should be checked first but you probably do not have a frequency tester. So I would try to adjust the voltage regulator anyways.
Disconnect generator plug, and connect your DMM. Start generator and let it warm up and see if your voltage is still around 107 voltage. If so then adjust your voltage regulator for an output voltage of 122-126. the adjustment is the screw pot on the voltage regulator itself. Mark it's current adjusted location before turning it in case you need to turn it back to where it was..

I grew up a mechanic when we had point's, plugs and a carburetor, If it quit running I knew what it was in a few minutes. I buy a 12 volt battery I expect 12 volts. I'll get on it tomorrow, Thanks again in advance. Can I phone in a pizza or something for you folks at a local Pizza Hut?

Besides the two mounting screws I only see one small phillips head screw sitting alone on the face of the VR, I'm worndering if thats it? Plus one very small regular head screw on the back of what appears to be a small blue diode of some sort? I wish I could send you a picture.

You can test at the 50 amp plug while you make your adjustment. Yes, that blue thing with the screw, right next to the red led on the regulator. That is the voltage adjustment.

With both AC's running= 119 volts, life is good! Give me a Pizza Hut Phone # I can call that pizza into. I'll need a pick up name also.

I have the same problem. I found that if I just barely hit the start button while it's running, the red light comes on, and it produces power fine. I repeated this a few times, and always seems to work. I hate to do it, since it is engaging the starter for a fraction of a second while running. Any ideas? Thanks!
Update since post above which no longer works.....Now the red light does not come on at all unless I continue to hold the start button after engine starts. When I release the start button, engine keeps running fine, but red light goes off, thus no current. Again...any ideas? Thanks!
Update #2....I came back an hour later, started it up normally, and all works fine. I have a feeling it will happen again where I don't have current, so still would like opinions on what is happening.

I have a Q55G propane model. I am not getting AC voltage, 110 I ran all your checks. red light on till motor starts. Cleaned many connections. Now light will stay on for maybe 2 minutes and you can hear the 2.5 amp breaker click off. the light then goes off. When I shut the motor off after a minute you can hear the relay reset. The electrical print shows wires 2 and 6 going thru a DPE winding. any ideas. Thank you for your time and any help would be appreciated.

I have very similar problem. On one of the adapter wires I get 9 volts then zero. The resistance on the other wire to ground is not 16 ohms but 34 ohms. When I provide 12v to adapter red light turns on and ac output jumps to 60 vac. Removing the 12v then red light out and acv drops

I have done a few basic checks with mine but have noticed the red light on the voltage regulator flashes when the generator is running but have no a/c power. I am bringing my Meter home this afternoon and check voltage at the 50 amp plug

When I pull wires from 3rd blade down on vr and jump to 12v I get no change on my meter. Still stays at 5v. Everything wa good a few months ago. So since I’m not getting 60 to 80v on one side... where should I go from here? Thanks in advance for the help
