OK, I'm back. Basically, if I start turning the two knobs, the four voltages keep changing, seems like from 0-4.77V. It's pretty jumpy though. So I guess, it's fine than. Before, I wasn't turning the knobs. HDMI cable, is connected now.

I have started unplugging connectors, going from the front to the HDMI board, but nothing happened. Than I started removing the connectors going to the amp board. Than, I have tripped the ipad/ipod LED. Than, I have connected everything back and plugged it back in, to the outlet. the MCACC LED started blinking. By releasing from this state by pressing Tune down and Multi Zone OFF for 5 sec. the receiver turned on and it was showing the Power On for 5 sec and than turned off and the MCACC started blinking. I can't seem to get out from this state, not even by unplugging the receiver. I have measured the finals again and I did not find anything wrong.

OK, here they are: ---OFF---ON 1: 5.58V 5.57V 7: 4.76V 4.74V 8: 0V-----0V 9: 0V ----0V 12:4.84V 4.82V 13:4.79V 4.76V 14:0V ----0V 15:0V ----0V 21:5.02V 5.01V 22:4.21V 4.21V 23:dropping toward 0v 24:0V ----0V 25:3.45V 3.34V 26:0V ----0V 32:4.82V 4.79V 33:4.86V 4.86V 34:4.86V 4.80V 38:0V --+2.08V 39:-2.54V -23.27V(This is DC or AC?) #23 keeps dropping toward 0V, on or off. If you are tripping something to activate that MCACC error then it should show up back at this connector, probably on pins 12,32,33 or 34 Other then that, I think we are back to this post I made a few back.

I have measured those points and the 12,32 and 33 are oscillating a bit, ~4.5-4.9V. The 34 has changed from 4.8V to 0.091v. So I guess, I can put it together and put it away for a while. If you have anything new or I will have, I'm ready to open it up again. I appreciate your help a lot, you are the only one that actually spent some (lot of)time with my issue.
Thank you,
Tibor

What I don't understand is, how come now, it is in different state and I can't get it out of this state?

Hi, I have a similiar module vsx921k not power on with mcacc blinking, test AMP transistor ohms resistance no short, release the Protection by multi zone off+tune down could power on then shut down after 5 seconds with relay on/off. I test IC3004 pin 80 the voltage show 0.6v and normal it's 5V(manual said it dc error), other protection pin 71/72/81 shows Normal from 4.9 to 5v. What should I do next for trouble shooting, Any advice?

Unfortunately I can't help you, but I still have the receiver. I have repaired many Onkyos, Yamahas, Harman Kardons and some Pioneers, but I'm not able to repair this one. Usually, the amp section or power supply has issues.

I am not seeing that ic number in the manual. Your receiver is a 921?

I am not seeing that ic number in the manual. Your receiver is a 921? Yes, mine is pioneer vsx-921k, I just have the service manual for vsx-1021k cause I can find the right one on Internet. Both design almost the same, the IC3004 is near the volume control on Front ASSY. Yesterday I unplugged the power connector marked as "CP401", machine start with display for about five minutes than off. I try to described it as I can because I m not native English speaker and also I m not an expert for the circuit. Thanks for the quick response from both of you!

Thanks a lot, and I am curious about where the DC error came from, all major transistors on AMP board measured fine。 I just wana to bypass the DC detection by giving the external 5V high signal then power on to check if some thing wrong, should I do that?
