Jeez- it looks like a Gorilla blew their nose all over those boards. IMO, from a performance stand point 7 ftl is insufficient to represent HD image dynamics. It would seem that Mike has gone a very different direction from prior modified boards and while these may provide some benefits (not sure?) that light output wouldn't suite my taste.

It would seem that Mike has gone a very different direction from prior modified boards and while these may provide some benefits (not sure?) that light output wouldn't suite my taste. There is improvements in low level noise, but ull actually not be able to run 3,5fl on a 110" screen without issues, at 7fl the red would start bloom to much, wich is a vim issue, but if you had a bright scene it would all get purple, as green hits the limit and would be cutting of, that starts already at 3,5fl on a full white screen. None of the boards are longer usable in combination with standard boards, the vim seems to be the only board maintaining a decent gain structure, but with the early blooming issue on red channel its just another defect MP moddet vim. The Moome card is turned all out of wack, so there is no way of running that with a standard setup, as ull have to run contrast low, ill guess around 30 or less. There is no chance that anyone with just a hint of calibration know how, or sence of image quality can have aproved these boards, so ill guess its some kind of scam/ ripoff, or deliberate sabotage.

put together another set of neckboards last night, to replase the MP ones, so changing out only the neckboards i got a interesting 10fl on screen, same projector and meter setup. full 100% window got up to 5,5fl, not having the patterns to determine where it roles off, but ill say it will remain around 10,8fl up to about 70% window. This is a 25% window measurement, notice how straight red and green is now, blue behaves normal as CRT do, no tweaking or defocusing has been done, and the black reading is off as i have daylight entering the room, but this i can work with.

Ill try if i can shoot a video of these issues and document that its not a single board issue, or anything related to something non mod related, or other issues, and document that its behavior is 100% a part of the mod design. And i think ill do that by testing each board individually in a fully functional machine.

Well as long as its not proven i think there might be doubt, i sure dont like to stand out like a guy that cant document or prove my findings, and therefore letting the doubt be someones elses excuse.

Mp will always find an excuse for his poor behavior and board modifications. The reason he never finds a fault with the output is because he does not know how to calibrate with a meter or have the skills necessary for the procedure. Looks like Nidi got hosed like others. Good luck guys, I'll just watch from the sideline.

Notice the soldering on R13, standard Marquee issue, pretty much the first thing anyone, specially a pro will adress when looking on a Marquee neckboard.

I am curious as to who boards they were originally and did money change hands to do the mod. Nidi/ Michael is the owner of those boards, and yes he payed to get the work done, and they have already been sendt back for repair once at his expense both ways, the issues with these boards is claimed to be non mod related by MP
