Marquee Modification Performance enhancement thread

We have another sucker waiting in Nidi’s wings. It’s been so long since he posted shots of a working projector that I doubt Mike remembers what’s been done to the boards. Estimated time for working boards, 1 plus year. Of course you have to wonder how people know of these mods from Curt’s site??

greg1292: MP is not off the hook for anything. If there are issues, let the courts figure it out. We're not a court of law. If someone gets charged with something officially, I'm happy to post to that ruling as that becomes fact and legal record. I've done this in other forums I run when a seller was charged for counterfeiting. I even sent a newsletter about it. But until something official is proven, I'm not taking sides in a he said/she said argument as it's simply opinion instead of fact. I only present facts.

We do have a sticky 'good-trader' thread in our buy/sell forum. I suggest people post their dealings there. I strongly suggest that it be done without any sort of malice or bias. Just present the facts, and the post will stand. For example, give timelines and facts like "Ordered a set of Marquee mods on Dec 15, 2016 and send me boards in the next day and it took 10 months for the boards to return after 26 emails sent asking when I would get the board back". Post pics too if it helps. Stay away from things like "it sucks" or "Mike is a crook" as that's opinion, not fact. Just post facts. I will not let Mike counter or respond in that thread (or anywhere) as it's not the place. But please stick to facts only.

i just went true Mikes last thread that got locked, looking the pic of the neckboard he promoted as exceptionally good work, and thought, yeah it looks nice and clean, then i wondered why the resistors were turned with the values up so we can all read it, not normal for mike at all, then i noticed the wooden table, and ohh that look like my kitchen table, true enought the exif file state its from a Lumia 950 cell phone year 2016 my old cell phone, so as it turns out he is complimenting my work, as it was a experimental board i used for different opamp transistors and resistors, as it had been moddet by mike once, and did not work, i experimented with it, so that explains why its that clean.. lol

I have a previous customer that contacted me concerning his boards. Boards that are already in his projector. He wanted to know If I had also done the same kind of work to his boards. I not only told him no, I told him that the boards shown on that thread was terribly tampered with, there would not have been a solder blob on that set of boards, though they had been previously modified. The first image below shoes what a fresh set of boards would look like while being modified. The second image shows what the mini board that I attach to the VIM PC board looks like. It is a blank board, but enough to show the skill that would be needed to attach the components to that little board. That IC trace is an 16 pin switch chip. I have been doing it all by hand.

So for anybody else out there that have purchased my boards, look for yourself, and you should see similar to what I'm showing in the first picture. The exception of course would be any board that had to re-work that had previous damage or changes that were already there. Still in those cases, I have been cleaning up the boards using 91% Isopropyl Alcohol. The image on that thread shows not only a terrible dirty board, it shows it blurred and showing added solder blobs. Those blobs would not be on a board that I modified, especially anything I've done the past three years. I was also looking for another image on a neck board that was posted by someone else not too long ago. That board also shows a clean and exceptionally well soldered board. I know I should have a picture somewhere.

So in no way have I or would I have done such sloppy and un-clean board work. I have a very good quality controlled temperature soldering station. And a batch of custom as well as required soldering tools that even allows me to solder and re-work some of the tiniest work. I have other board pictures as well of my exceptional work.

Wouldn't surprise me at all that Mike doesn't even realize. He's often been confused / had health issues / etc.

Can see he is back at it again, Nidi asked me if i could shoot a video of his MP mods like a AB comparison, ilustrating the issues, wich might be a good thing to do in the light of all Mikes acusations, there is really no limit to what he will say to blame others for all the issues with his work.
Would also be helpfull if others that have MP mods would add some evidence material.

If this continues ill also be happy to offer personal demo of all my MP mods, and various issues, and explain my take on image quality and calibration of CRT.

nope, he still kicking.. He cant see any of this is due to his work, its everybody elses foult.

Well, thanks a lot Kal. You've really allowed "Mission Accomplished" banner to be waved. Just some of the things that were sent to me concerning those who have been diligently and persistently working to discredit me these past two years or more. Much thanks also to those who have been letting me know what has been going on, and that includes Nidi for letting me know Kurt had visited his house. And we was expecting that to happen because he wanted to get his hands on my boards and you made that happen.



For the others who are not aware of what has been going on behind the scenes. The set of boards Nidi claimed had a problem, that was not the case at all, but that was a part of the PLOY. The boards were used to discredit me, and as Nidi told me just yesterday, I need to admit that Kurt was successful in destroying me. Yep, not what some of you were thinking was going on, because most here look at the world through a different mindset. And if you were on that same site (AVForum) a few days ago, you would have been able to see screenshots posted by Kurt, that had the same boards Nidi claimed to have so many problems being used in Kurt's projector to display what his disciples should be able to expect once they remove that potting material from my boards. You won't see that if you visit the site now, because it has since been deleted. They're not there now..Shocked They stuck gold it seems....no, I was expecting that to happen. and it is not a win at all if you really think about it. My work has been bashed and talked about terribly for the past two years or more, to later realizing that the "other options" out there ain't delivering fast enough. To include, it would be very difficult to do a reverse and look at my boards, because you could definitely loose some dedicated follows for sure. But with the only thing still out there this smoking is the MP mod. I knew the temptation would exceed the ability to wait any longer. As what's known around here, waiting on a product is torture. And they have been waiting for more than two years...that's a tough one there. And I knew all I had to do was keep posting those screenshots..Mr. Green



So Nidi informs me that if I don't send him a set of boards, he will "send the boards to Kurt to do whatever he wants with them" I told him there was no need to send them to Kurt, because he already had them. Those boards were not going to leave Kurt's possession and he knew that. So the ploy was to use the boards to draw others out on a public forum to discredit me by saying our bad my work was and the terrible person I was. That was the call of the lynch Mob, after they called for a Public Lynching of me, but only Justin showed up, and he did well pressing who else beside himself that had board problems with my mods. What made me feel good about all of this considering nearly two decades of doing this, they could only get Justin to show up. No one else, no one outside of Kurt and his crew, made not one comment. I want to thank all of you that did not join in on this juvenile lynching attempt. Though Greg (greg9518Lc) posted that picture of a wounded soldier with the caption R.I.P MP. I'm not at all dead..Mr. Green And I know they're really cerebrating my screenshots not being able to be posted here anymore, that would allow others to post and give power to what Greg and Justin keeps pushing and promoting about Kurt having better mods. Well, thanks to need, that can now become somewhat true. But that's only in how well they're able to pull the secret off and if no one finds out that they really have plans for my work.



Anyway, I don't see a loss here at all. I only lost the opportunity to continue to post my shots on this forum, and that's fine with me, I'll just post them somewhere else. Oh and as I've been saying, I really am out of doing mods. I wanted to only support any work I had out there. I only had two people I wanted to do upgrades for and one of them I've already done, the other is Wolfman. that's why I removed "upgrades" from the bottom of my page. And for every Marquee customer that I have and had, I had already started informing them that a day would come when I would no longer do anything else to their projector. I had one customer up north that spoke to me about upgrading, and that was the only mini board I had left. And that window has now closed as well. My toughest customer is a guys that hates digital period, but I did finally get to talk him into looking at an Epson Digital that I saw and he did. He now has a Epson that's quite a tad up from what I recommended. The thing has a convergence system very similar to CRT, and I was blown away by what he paid for it. I was there last week looking at it because he wanted me to do a touch-up. The guy has turntables that has special arms on them that were designed and built by a guy not far from him, but very expensive.

Anyway I'm good and I'll still hang around here, but I feel a need to keep posting my shots, so maybe AVS for that.
