smps subboard (generation ++9v) smps2 board (used to feed some ad/da chips for voltage diagnotics) pcf board (used for delay on/off smps and start pcf) remote (backlight and ir data generation) controller board (core voltage controller) I try to summarize too. I have some spare boards that I assume they fully works, including. SMPS SMPS2 The issue, as you and other friends said, should be located somewhere in the ++9v circuit. The boards that use ++9v and have no spares are: controller, PFC, motherboard and buit in remote. But ... We detect absence of ++9v when built in remote and controller tray are pulled. Remain motherboard and PFC. Correct?

guys, this is not a competition to see who guesses and will have a prize. My interest is to solve the issue of my projector. We can discuss everybody. I say thanks now and at the end, at all in the same way. mastertech: My meter have no range for check diodes, only one position and result the test that you ask is "1".

mastertech: My meter have no range for check diodes, only one position and result the test that you ask is "1". Now I don't remember if after replace cap C62 in PFC board this value has changed, I must to try it.

At mastertech ,good question i assumed open circuit. at Decibel you can crap remote and controller from your list for now (not meaning there can nothing be wrong with them) they have nothing to do with the ++9v problem if you still have about +3v while they are disconnected from the mother board. So yes pcf and mother board are left.

I never thought it was a competition. What you do not understand is, you cannot have 2 people giving you different directions as to where to test. I just does not work that way. And you changing random parts along the way does not help either. So I have no problem waiting to see if you 2 find the problem. I know is does not have a diode range, none do. But it reads out with 3 to 4 digits at a time except when open. So is it just 1, or is it .001, or 1.000? And what does it read with probes not touching and when touching. I need to know your meter so when you give a reading I clearly understand what it is telling me.

Mastertech I had understand your question, but I must move my weary body two floors above, where the Cinemax is located. I just re check the SMPS slot with meter as you asked. The meter said "1", without commas or other signs. If touch probes among them, the meter show 003 without commas. If no touch among them, the meter show 1 without commas.

I find it odd that you are not getting some reading. Reverse your test leeds and do the test again.

I find it odd that you are not getting some reading. Reverse your test leeds and do the test again. I'll try tonight. Now I'm in the office. Here it's 5.10 pm

Ok, same test but disconnect the red probe and touch it to the metal chassis and see if your meter goes to "003" just to verify you are on ground.

I just have this and then 2 more tests and we should know exactly where the problem is. Do you have 9 volt batteries over there?
