I'm having heck of a time putting the harness back!! It's hard to line up all 7 wires with the holes all at the same time... IC355 showed OK and was soldered back on the board.

That's fine as long as they go into the correct hole.

Ok. Do this correctly.
Remove the jumper you have in the location of Q301 on the F302 board. Leave Q301 removed. Leave D301 lifted. Leave jumper on RY301. Remove test lamp and install a good fuse. Connect the other wire harness to the regulator board. Plug it in and see if the display lights up. You will not have to hit the power button.

You sure that outlet works, lol. With it plugged in, check that socket in the back of the receiver with your DMM set on AC voltage.

Ok. Look at the main transformer. On the back side where you disconnected the 5 wires there is also a board with 2 wires that comes from the board with the fuse. With the receiver plugged in and your DMM set to AC test at the 2 pins sticking up where those 2 wires connect.

0.02 V on the two outlets as well.

Check your fuse again, F302. You should have 120v AC on those 2 pins. Check the fuse with your DMM on diode scale. Should show short.
