Need help. The backside does not show the register # but actual names. I do not see any register but I assume the small holes will be tested? Thanks

I thought I saw some of those numbers on the other side of that board and they were accessible. How accessible is connector P6601b on that board?

p6601b seems to accessible. It is the left one on the last row.

Ok, you can test there with your positive probe. DMM on DC voltage and receiver plugged in. Test pins 20,19,18,17,16,15 both when powering on and after shut down.

They all are 0V no matter what situation button pushed or not. Could it be because I disconnected the HDMI board as following? Without which I could not access p6601b.

That HDMI board connected, I can not reach the connector. The whole MPU board is covers by the board attached to the HDMI board shown above. We need some other approach.

I managed to find the P6606A and B. They are very much hidden and does not seem to be possible to be reached by a novice like me specially when everything is connected. Any suggestion?

If you are not able to access a connector with all boards installed and connected then you have to install fly wires, which means nothing more then run a wire from a point and then leaving the unit so you can later test on the end of that wire with your meter. These wires can be very tiny in gauge, single strand but they should be coated.
So if you have to run fly wires then it is best to test as close to the MCU as possible. I would use connector P6601B on CPU board and wires for testing pins 15 thru 20. You can remove boards to get to the connector and just push the wires down into the connector if you can. If that wont work then you would have to solder them to the back side where the pins go thru the board. You can also tape the wires to something to help hold them from pulling out when assembling. You can run all the wires at once and tape the other ends to a piece of cardboard and mark the cardboard as to where each wire is connected to. So you know later after it is all reassembled and ready for testing, where each wire goes. Let me know if you have any more questions.
