I did not have much time lately, but I am playing around with the board, doing the fine tuning still: finding out the final component values for proper brightness and contrast levels etc.

I have no means to test that far as my soon to be theater room is still more like a junk room... What I can tell is that the bandwidth seems to be OK, and otherwise the board behaving nicely. Kurt could do more indepth test with it. Just after the last night's tweaking session I came to the conclusion that I really should not hold on to this anymore, so I'll secure the DB to the VIM and finalize the cabling, and off you go.

it has been quiet for too long on the VIM-DB project.
what the progress?
how far along is the mod to become 'mainstream' ?

I have watched the complete 1-7 seasons of Game of Thrones with the new vim, slightly improved black level by removing the old osd buffer, there was a odd distortion wich was likely sync related, not seen it since changing the sync chip on the vim as Gjaky surgested. Otherwise CRT its going fairly slowly here, im racing winter changing windows, and putting concrete tiles around the house, so for the last 2 week i not seen a single movie, went out every day just before sunrise, and came back in just after sunset, handeled around 27000kg tiles the last 3 days, so not really been needing any help to sleep.

Ha! Nice to hear! I'd still hava to place an order for the few missing parts, after that three VIM-DB boards would be done at once.

Cool, what's the next step?
Tobias might be able to adapt the VIM's for the new boards if you can guide him.
