Ok it stays on. I went about 30 seconds then shut it down.
I am thinking about the white screen. The X board connectors that go to the PDP are a a pain to connect.
I wonder if I got them connected right? not easy to work on that side. I might have to remove the side panel to get better access to where the connectors go in. I think that might be the issue. I should have taken a pic before removing those so I could compare where the two holes in each connector should be with respect to how much of them I can see out of the connector.

Another thing I just noticed while connecting the XSUS connectors to the PDP. I freaking didn't have the XSUS connected to the PS !!!!! Now I can not remember if I did when I repaired it or not. I think I did and removed that connector to double check for shorts after the Ysus blew its fuse. Ok going to try it again wish me luck.

Update. It stays on , but I am only allowing about 15 -20 seconds. All PS led's stay on and on the logic board there a couple that stay on and one LED2005 blinks. The reason I am shutting it down is after power up I hear a slight buzz, not too loud but I can hear it. I can not tell if it is from the YSUS, PS or Logic board. And not having good hearing doesn't help to localize it So far I think its ok but not sure. I am afraid to keep it on longer. But this YSUS has not popped anything longer than the other one so far. So that is good news. Nashou

Ok, I need to be more thorough!!!!
I found another connector on the Logic board I did not have connected.
I powered it up and hit the menu and got the menu from what I can see. not sure how clear it is. I need the stand for this thing!!!
But I think its ok and might just need adjustments for the YSUS .
Once I get the Stand I can test better.

With out a remote( they lost it) and not being able to see what I am doing I can't test much more till I can get it up right. But it is showing the menu. I could program my harmony but the way I have the TV lying on the floor the IR is covered. I think tomorrow I can get the Stand from my sisters house. they just bought a new TV today ! lol go figure the same Day I almost have it working. well the newer TV's are half the weight of this beast!!! So I am done for tonight. I am going to make some RJ45 cables so I can install the Webconnect module in my SMA solar inverters. Maybe I'll start a thread in the solar section nashou Athanasios

You need to get the tv fully operational. Then after 10 minutes use you need to go back and recheck all the P/S supply voltages according to the label. Once they are set you should be good. Just adjust them slowly and carefully so you don't send it into shutdown. You don't want to cause any damage at this point.
The adjustments on the Y board should not need to be adjusted. But if it bothers you that much I believe those adjustments are in the 1 document I sent you on the X, Y and buffer board theory of operation. Scope required.

Yeah I found that info on the web search and that forum where i found the link to the correct service manual. I may try it if it doesn't look right. But the way I have it now it is not efficient for me to get a pic to it. A full on view is needed. My one scope is only up to 150mhz but it might still be achievable if need be. Athanasios

I was really surprised how heavy they are when I lifted it into my truck with the guy I bought mine from. Have you ever looked into making a rotary generator from rewired whirlpool washing machine motors? I believe the motors are made by Panasonic. Google the youtube vid if you have a minute. You can generate 120v by spinning it with a finger!

Well I got it hooked up to BD player and had an image for a short while with the sparkles and some black lines that looked like they were made up of gun powder that was shifting( not a solid line) , if you know what I mean. So I figured the Voltages needed to be adjusted, but before the ten minute warm up came the set shut gown with the 7 flash of the red power LED and 4 flashes of the PS board. Checked the YSUS fuse and its blown on the replacement board I got. So I'll have to pull it and check the IPM's for that now. the green fuse I replaced is still good. Crap!!! Nashou

Well doesn't that just suck raw PlayDoughâ„¢ balls! I know the 'gunpowder' smudging well. In dark scenes the affected area of the display panel doesn't refresh or decay (?) fast enough so when the image calls for bright, such as white, it takes time for the black streaking to decay off. From what I've learned that's the indication of a panel that's reached EOL. Seeing as the entire thing went belly up that's a moot point I 'spose. I dunno....I think if it were me at this point I'd be hard pressed to continue investing time and money in it but I DO totally relate to the male ego involved with 'winning'. lol

I bet your lovin plasmas more and more as each day passes, lol. Yep!! Well I need to clean up my main living space so this Project will go on Hold till I feel like diving in again. I have 6 imp's I just got so I can still mess around some more. So the TV is in the basement on the dolly. it will most likely stay there till I need to use the dolly for something else Nashou
