1 of the new ballasters is defect, it flickers, swapped balasters and the projector works fine, guess thats standard JVC QC controle, 50/50. A small ceramic cap is snapped off the daughter board, now im waiting a reply from JVC.

Fixed the new defective ballaster as it was just a cap missing, and JVC part store basically dont give a shit, swapping ballaster 4 times due to that i have 2 projectors and mounted a new ballaster in both of them, to troubleshoot i first swapped lamp, then ballaster, the problem was flickering, after swapping ballasters it solved the flickering, now i fixed and mounted the last ballaster again, thats quite a few hours of work, to troubleshoot, specially as the ballasters are located where they are on these models. And JVC just ignore every question if they offer some sort of compensation for the trouble, The reply was.
"We are not service but a fulfillment center"
What kind of shit is that to reply, is that a way of saying we are JVC store but it there is problems with our parts go fuck yourself.

After a lot of fiddeling the issue with the ballasters are isolated to the interface board, but hit a dead end there. Found a 2nd defective X3 unit that can be used as a test unit, and part mule, as i need a new lamp blower for my X7.
The X3 i had have been running stable now for around 25 hours, and i figured out how to calibrate these projectors, 10 years late.
Like all JVC units they develope a gamma drop, on these old units its quite heavy, like all down to a 1.7 gamma, it can be corrected in the custum gamma, but its easy to make it look fairly odd, as the correction firmware is totaly messed up, so you dont adjust what you think your adjusting. After the gamma corection i can basically put whatever lamp, or run low or high lamp mode, and the only adjusting the 100% white point, and the rest tracks.

I have got an X7 with the same error light code. Found on the ballast board's daughter board, that the LNK363 IC was delivering only 14 ish volts, instead of 17V. That caused the 5V LDO to supply only 3.6-4.2V and that wasn't enough. Replaced the LNK363 and pj started right up.
