I did not have time, to check yet. Today, I will check those transistors.

Found two shorted transistors, Q527 and Q530. After I did a reset, the receiver turned on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe iiiiitttttttttt. Thank you very much. Now I need to replace those two transistors and I hope that I'm done with it, if I have soldered all the components back as they suppose to be. I'm still missing that inductor(L9606), from the HDMI IC power source. Right now, I have just shorted it with a wire.

Placed the order. Thanks. Today, I will have to see, if the HDMI ports work. I have never had(used) a Pioneer receiver, so I'm not familiar, with it's menus and such. It seems like, it's in a demo mode. I will somehow, need to get out of this state.

HDMI, is a no go. I will double check my soldering. On the first three ports and the front port, there is no signal at all. On the 4,5 and 6 inputs there is sound, but no video.

I have also noticed that, when a DVD is played(digital signal), the sound is interrupted(speaker logos on the display disappear and switches to stereo. All this is just for a moment, like every five seconds. On the Tuner(analog), the sound is good. I'm wondering about the main HDMI IC, it couldn't be damaged, maybe partially?

Have you tried a master reset?

I have reheated the IC, with the hot air station and I have also found a tiny resistor near the IC, that was dislodged and one side wasn't touching the pad properly. So I have resoldered that, as well. Now it's better, all the HDMI ports(recognize the HDMI signal-LED is on) have sound. The interruption is still there, but now is 10 seconds, not 5 as before. The HDMI #2, is intermittent though. I will have to look at the IC, again. Multizone on/off and Tune -, if I remember right. That, I did. I have also did, the Enter and Standby. My biggest issue, is that I don't have any video at all. It could be the BGA un-soldering issue? Should I reheat it?

I have soldered in, the new transistors. I have re-flowed, both HDMI ICs and even the two BDAs and there is still no change.

So where you are now is this: The unit turns on and stays on and does not go into protect. HDMI in's all work for sound but blank out occasionally. HDMI out does not work. Correct?
Do the analog in's work and do they blank out occasionally also or no?

I'm pretty much there. I haven't tried analog inputs, yet. I have an old Sony DVD player, I will try it with that. I have tried the HDMI, from the PC and that one, works great(audio only). Tuner works great also. DVD plays, but with interruptions, like every 10 seconds. I'm suspecting, the main HDMI IC.

I would be looking at the HDMI transmitter ic, number ic1602. Test across pins 54 to 63 with DMM on diode scale and unit unplugged, looking for any shorts between any. If that is ok then I would test for proper voltages on ic. Also inspect the HDMI out connector, both front and back for any anomalies.

I have checked and there is no short. HDMI connector is OK. I still have to check for voltages.

3.3V, 1.2V and again 1.2V are all there.
