What do you think, about the IC909? How would I know, if it is bad? I gave you a suggestion on what to do but I did not see where you did the testing. So I stopped responding on that unit.

Do you mean, to measure all those voltages? I have measured the temperature and voltages at the IC909. Everything seems fine.

Test all voltages on pages 88 an 89. There are test points on the board for each voltage. Look at the board layout for their locations. If you test those voltages and no abnormality is found I will see if I can direct you further to find the problem.

I'm trying to measure these voltages, but only two are measurable from the top, the rest is underside. How could I measure those? I will have to solder wires to the test points?

I will have to solder wires to the test points? yes.

OK, I have found two voltage issues. V+1R8_SC is only 1.43V. V+1R2_NW is only 0.012V. It was quite some work, to do these measurements.

IC9502 most leky is bad. At pin #6, I have 2.45V and at pin #1, only 0.013V

What is your voltage at pin 3 of 9502?

I'm getting 1.21V.

That looks good. Can you lift the output pin so it is removed from circuit and test for voltage? And try not to break it. If you do not think you can then we can remove some other parts for testing. You do not want to break it yet because it might be ok.

You are thinking, that maybe the output gets shorted, by another component?

It's possible but you need to verify. It could be the regulator but why just change a part just to find out it is not that. Easier to just verify first.

Afternoon I will check, when I get home. It would be good to work this IC, because it is not available.

The regulator is good. Unfortunately the short goes most likely, into IC9204( DM860A ). I have removed L9206 and I still have short on both ends. 0.35 Ohm toward the regulator and 0.54 toward the IC9204. I have lifted the positive leg, of the C9314 and the short is still there.

You need to also remove L9209 and L9210 and see if short on regulator output pad is gone.
