Mike told you to leave those boards alone but you couldn't help yourself...lol I believe he also offered you a full refund but you turned it down.
Actually there is much more to that story that I am also aware of but let's just leave it at that.

I have had some older version of his VNB of the said modifier and I agree they were worse than some stock ones that I changed out some parts to better quality. No drastic changes as those modified boards and they were sharper. I did not look at noise level tho. Nashou Now I am tempted to replace the opamp on the vnb with a better one but seeing thse vnb results I think it will not do much. The peaking of the motorolla I will not mess with. Further I noticed that some caps where 10 times bigger. Will it alter noise? Perhaps if you know what to look for but not likely. Perhaps when I am very close to the screen I might notice some noise changes but these are not the chamges that bother me.

I also have a set of those newer neckboards very late ones. I wonder how they will perform.

In the screenshot thread on Curts wolfman has posted 1:1 shots. I know he has his neckboards modified the same way and look how bad that looks! I bet that if he tries standard neckbords this will look better.

Are you interested in selling yours? Well I have a set of somewhat older MP neckboards that are the same version Curt has on ebay with a vision 1. You can buy these from me. Are you sure? How about 150 euro? Ah I see one I used for parts so I can only sell two.

No stock set up comes close to that at 200mhz. To achieve these results requires a properly filtered Moome card and a good BD player. Wolfman is using an HTPC set up and should not be used as an example of high BW performance. Once he sorts out his issues things may be different.

Sorry, but this statement is not true. Moome only can build his board from parts that are commercially available, and there is no consumer video DACs those are faster than 330MHz and it only gets worse from that, no filtering or trick can overcome this. On the other hand PC videocards incorporating their propietary 400MHz DACs for about 15years now, I have tested a few cards and I have to say that even the cheapest integrated intel graphics have bandwidth over 200MHz, on discrete VGA cards the usual result showed BW over 300MHz...

Apart from that he is using the htpc hdmi out. Now it is possible that his htpc puts out 4:4:4 and some blu ray players put out 4:2:2 but than the moome does the digital decompression in the end that will not make a difference in roll off. The roll off starts in the analogue chain. His newest moome should have the MP filters so will likely not cause roll off. He has a vim03 so unless that board was messed up by a modifier that board should not have roll off either. So the only thing left are the neckboards. I suggested Wolf to try some standard neckboard and he will make some screenshots.

Let me clarify- I'm not saying that an HTPC/videocard can't produce a high BW image just that Wolfman has some issues be needs to clear up with his hardware. His current screen shots indicate there's BW issues and to my knowledge it's not Marquee video chain related.
I can tell you first hand that filtering on the Moome is very critical. If not done correctly there will be noticeable differences in the BW. When I received my modified 03 VIM and first tried it there were inconsistencies across the channels when looking at the SMPTE. I installed the moome card filters MP sent me and then the red and green were displaying identical performance. Keep in mind that you can't peak an 03 so this is not artificial compensation.
