Just laughing at this. Does anyone even remember why Curt started his own site? Well it was for just that reason.
To much moderation and censorship at AVS.

Curt is into making money, but he clearly cant see that his ways with things like this have cost him quite a lot of business.
I personally will not buy from him because i got sick of receiving substandard items and paying good money for them.
Ofcourse, he sends replacements when things he first sends fail, but an example or two... A green P16 with a large area 4:3 wear pattern, high 7/10, paid a fair amount for it, DOA with no heater glow. Thats fine he says ill get you out another straight away!! Next one turns up, at least it works, but its a low 5/10 with 16:9 wear that was installed too far back. Not what i paid for.
Quads... The Barco set ive had a while had a quad from Curt, "new" according to previous owner, arcing internally, didnt look new either, and was the wrong type. So i get another one from Curt, "almost new" he says! Put it in, same issue within a couple hours use. Lead was black as, he claimed that was 48 hours testing. Sends me another. Wrong type, doesnt even fit the set without mods.
But what really amuses me here Redfox is you, you go and tittle tat to Curt about what ive said here, for what reason i dont know because he can easy read it himself, then you go and suck up to him on his forum and tell everyone what a great guy he is and how well he looks after everyone, all the while you really believe he is that stupid he doesnt see what you really think? Hahaha!!!

Yep, i agree with all that Kurt, and like you, ive had my fair share.
Ive delt with Greg Eiesmann a few times now for Barco items, and although he is dearer, you get an honest sale. When Greg says new, you get new. No grey areas, you get what you asked for, and for that reason ill go back again.

Curt's business was always too expensive for me, I only bought "crap" from him, but I alway knew that clearly though  . To be honest I've always got more than what I asked for, but never paid more than $10 for any board. |

Case or whoever you really are. I did not talk to Curt about you behind your back. We where chatting about a controller when we noticed that you where slandering me. I had not noticed because I block your posts. I remember Curt saying Casey does nice on my place but than I read this behind my back.
Yes I wrote a sharp comment on Curt here but I did not hide it. Now I removed it because it attracts the wrong people. I never had a problem with the items Curt send to me. They where second hand so perhaps that is below your standards and of cause you want to pay like nothing for it. About Strid I still think he should have noticed the shipping agent that the tubes where damaged so Curt could clame the insurance. To me Curt send free new boards when I received the wrong model. The Vision 1 was ok not perfect but I still love it. The 2005 boards where a great deal. The tubes I received where perfect and Curt was an easy person to deal with. The only thing I do not like is that he does not want people to post on repairing stuff on his site because he makes a living from repairing stuff. So I am posting helping and reading here for repairing stuff. I am open on it if someone does not like it they should let me know.

Slander: (the act of making) an untrue spoken, not written, statement about a person with the intention of damaging that person's reputation:
I do not know what written slander is called. Make sure that if you write something about me that it is true or that you can back it up with quotes and evidence.
But even if it is true and does not serve the community to reveal this truth it is still illegal and it is easy to make a screencopy of it as evidence.

I buy from Greg because he knows what he is talking about and stands by his products. Im hardly likely to care about the price. Ive allready got brand new simulation grade tubes.

True and I am just a hobbyist like you never pretended to be anything more and when the supplies are gone so will I But I have these pt22 tubes with fast phosphor little wear but they are just standing here and you play 3d games you can get them for a small price just let me know. |
