It always helps to mix in some regular or low temp solder on all pins before attempting to desolder. Just did that to clean out the holes. I added some flux then then one ball go Chip Quick and split the large ball up and rolled the ball to the next hole that needed cleaning while I had it on the preheater. Then once all balls were in the holes that needed cleaning I use my Hakko de solder gun to suck it out, they came out perfect!!

Ok all back together a few screws to make GND, same thing. but now even with the Sustain board unplugged. I still get 7 red flashes and the small daughter board on the PS flashes 13 green .
I rechecked the new chips they are ok on the board. no short to VS to SU or ER and no short GND to SU or ER.

I wonder if in fact that damaged circular trace is connected to something?

Was thinking the same thing myself. Now you have a better pic of it I can see the missing eyelet. So you don't have a datasheet for the IPM's? It took some haggling with the ebay seller to get the info for the IPM's I used but I also got lucky because the pins were all clearly marked on the board.

I would try disconnecting the 2 buffer boards and see if it still shuts down with the 7 blink. If your Y board is now working and a buffer is blown then it will still shut down. I would also check some of your P/S output voltages to see if some are there and which ones are not. I don't have time now but I will look into this further later.

i tired it with buffers removed still shuts down. before my repair it stayed on with buffers removed.
EDIT: I just rechecked the buffer boards for any shorts on the output pins to the panel which would indicate a shorted chip. All is good . No shorts to VS if I was using the correct pins for VS which I think I am. and there was no short to GND either on any of those pins.

I am kinda lacking time lately. I send you some documents if you want to try to continue troubleshooting this beast.

Thanks for the info Mac. So I did a few tests.
The 8.6V is not present even when I jump J8003 and J8004. Other voltages come up on that connector CN1M46.
the Flow chart tells me to replace the power supply but Id rather try to fix it. on line they are 125 $ or more and who knows if I did the SUS board correctly and that is what blew the PS.
I also am not getting any voltage now to the Logic board so it could be that or the SSB board may also be bad .
So there is no voltage on the second pin from the left on the connector to the logic board from the PS. no LEDs work and connecting a jumper on the logic board to get the white pattern showing did not come up on screen.

And that board in the pic above is not exactly the same as mine its missing a buffer connection it just has one and the SSB connections are not in the same locations.

I sent the documents based solely on the appearance of your supply. This is how it works. If you look for documents based on numbers you will almost never find them. If yours does not look like the posted one then it is a problem.
