I am taking about the channel inputs to the amp board that connects at CP401. That is the preamp inputs to the amp. Yeah I don't see a cable? What the hell did I loose it or was it never there. Where does it connect to from the amp board? I don't see that cable any where if it can be disconnected from either side or not? Let me look in my shop. I have ht unit in the kitchen and fix the board in the shop. I wonder if I removed it and forgot about it!! Doh!!! But I don't see it any where in the chassis or where it would connect to. BRB

OMG !! I found it buried way way under the HDMI board. I don't know how it got there. I don't think I took that board off ever.

I feel like a freaking idiot!!!!!!!
it stays on now. WTF !!
Ok so I have to know why would not having that connector on blow the channels and show DC. the DC on all channels now is .024 or so the FL is still a bit higher BUT the Receiver stays on now.

The preamp signal is still required to cause the outputs to switch and balance the line. If they are not switching then you would read B- on the outputs, which is what you had. Looks like you just need to test all the parts you removed and reassemble. The only bad part you found after it worked and then stopped again was Q417, which may have been caused by incorrect value of R493. Let me know how you make out and hopefully those other 2 channels were not damaged beyond what you found as of now. You may want to use the test parts list I gave you in the beginning of this project to check the same parts in these other 2 bad channels.

I guess we still have to figure out Fl now. It show -.131 while the others show .024 I would not worry about this until you have installed most of the parts that were removed.

Ok I got the 1N4148 and picked up some more 100 ohm 1 watt resistors. So I'll first install all the resistors and diodes before putting in the amps and test.
Sound like a plan?

Either or both. If you test first you will know what it will do, lol.
