I was able to adjust FR to the same as the others but FL and SL have no change, the pot does not do anything.

When you say the FR the same as the others, do you mean to 2.0mv?
The problem with the FL and SL is probably the same reason you have the noise. Go to page 70 of the manual and note the red box. Something in this box is probably causing both problems. Probably the same on both channels and most likely a part that was originally damaged and missed during testing. Shouldn't take long to do some value testing.

I bet I had to adjust that as it is where I added the new Diodes. they are a bit "beefier" than the originals and fall in the red box. Now for the other channels I guess i would start looking at parts surrounding the VR as it is not doing anything. This will have to wait till tomorrow or another day. there we're some traces that were damaged but can't remember if it was on those or not. One was a trace for the 100ohm resistor and I think a couple for the .47 ohm resistors. I'll have to double check. Nashou

Well I found one problem with out even probing, can you guess what it is? I guess the two hour nap wasn't enough!!

Yep, missing emitter resistors.

Yep, missing emitter resistors. Everything on the FL measure ok tho? I guess I'll have to look better when I take the heat sink off again for the 5th time !!! That channel was bit quitter too, not much but some, would those missing cause that? Nashou

And would they also maybe cause the static on the FL channel as well? Since they are right next to each other and share the same B line?
I think this Receiver did not sound as clean on all channels but those two were the worse.

If one channel was causing noise on other channels then the noise would most likely be the same on all other channels.
Is that collector leg of Q445 well attached. It is sticking out quite far.

Yep, missing emitter resistors. Everything on the FL measure ok tho? Nashou Something has to be wrong there if there is no idle current reading. Don't forget to check VR401 and R442 separately. Recheck Q409. Maybe also check R423 and R426 even though they are outside the box.

Maybe also check R423 and R426 even though they are outside the box. I think I found the issue. The one pad/trace for the R 439 100ohm 1 watt resistor that conects the output to Capacitor C407 is the one that was damaged. I did not make a good contact to it. I scraped some more of that pad and re flowed more solder and tested resistance from the leg of the C407 to the Base of Q410. I got the 100 ohms. So it is going back together for another try. Nashou

All works fine now. Much better!! Now to adjust bias to 2 mv. then let it run a while with the one Speaker i have connected to it on the Fl then the SL and the FR. Those are the channels that went out. Nashou

Yea, do you have your idle current voltage back on both channels?

Yea, do you have your idle current voltage back on both channels? Yes i do!!!! the FL was -1.4 after It began working, set to 2.1 mv just like the rest. Nashou

Ok trying to get out of demo mode by turning off and holding down enter then turning on. holding down the power and enter now shows a message MAIN:V .070
not the usual menu mode like my VSX 1122-k is this different?
