Picked it up cheap. Picture looks good HDMI in and HDMI out to the moome 1080p@72. Just need to move the picture. Might try the 96. The manual says this will be 1080x817p@96. I have not tried the analog out.

Hi Guys,
Has anyone played with one of these? Having trouble getting the GUI to run on XP so I can adjust some timings. Playing with 1080p@72 but I need to adjust the settings to get rid of the left side ringing. Thanks, Greg

Have you swapped out the quad and splitter? One of these has more than likely failed.

I just recently sold my XG-135LC and the deal not included XG-VNBs, so they are now officially decommissioned. Since there is no market for it I'll probably revert back the VNBs to the Marquee and perhaps reuse the AD834s in my own ULTIMATE VNB-DB. Here is a picture for the Archive about a finalized board. Why did the buyer not want the VNB's with the XG?

I use the DVDO to do 1080p@24 to 817@72. It works very well. I also do 1080p@48 for 16/9.

Hi Guys, I have a computer that I use for Vudu streaming to the 919. Vudu is HDX or 1080p. The computer has a GTX750Ti video card. At this stage I am feeding it into the VP50PRO at 1080p@60. Should I be able to go close to matching the picture quality to what I get from the Cambridge (OPPO 103/105 equivalent)? Also is it possible to adjust the porch settings on this card? All info out there is game related. Thanks, Greg.

How do the HFQ900 resolve the pixel phase pattern on your screen ? I had scanlines with LCP tubes 1080P 72hz 178Mhz, had to defocus to remove the anoying stair stepping. If i remember right it was 12-14fl in the 100% IRE field in the pic. Are you sure it wasn't 1080i@72? Can't imagine seeing stair stepping at 1080p@72 on CRT unless your screen is 150inch+ or your Steve Austin with a bionic eye.

Hi I sent an e-mail to Barco a couple of weeks ago and got this reply about the difference between HFQ900/HFQ900HM. The HFQ900HM lens is a High Magnification lens. Throw distance is very similar to the standard lens but can do larger surfaces. This HM-lens was typically used in Planetarium applications where you have a large throw distance. From Barco Service Engineer I have a set of HFQ900HM lenses and they have coating on first lens element. Spoonsight I have 7 sets of HD10E (HFQ900) that came out of a planetarium instalation with around 12m trow, As i see it those lenses is best used for long trow and not optimal for HT size screens, 90-120", i prefer using some of the lenses with a more narrow range, fitting for my specifik purpose instead of a alround lens like the HD10E ( HFQ900) i have seen them in quite a few HT aplications, but they always had focus uniformity issues/ optical flare in areas of the screen. It dont make much sense to make them without coating, or for longer trow, as there are specifik lenses for longer trow/ bigger screens 300"+, so maybe the HFQ900HM is just a BARCO rebatched HD10GT30-67 The HD10GT30-67 is designed for improved resolution over the HD10E for magnifications of 30-45X and to extend the range of the family up to 67X. CPL recommends the HD10GT30-67 for high magnification applications requiring screen diagonals of 210-460β. So what lens are you using if not HD10E or HQF900?

Is this to use the Barco VNB or the Marquee? I only have Barco VNBs. I would think the Barco VNB would be better suited to the LUGs.

Also re-cap the EHT board. I know when Huggy had this problem changing the EHT board stopped the quads failing.

@ gregstv After having a night of sleep over it I will leave it to you gregstv , you are much further in the proces then I am ,time is a problem for me ,for the moment trying to fix a quad went through all my spare quads in no time. Did you bake the quad before using them?

Happy to help out with this one if know one else has the time or equipment. I have done a lot of playing with the Barco and I don't want to take this opportunity away from others. It's a lot of fun modding and learning what does what. I was going to work with the Sony 1292 as its already set up in the work shop, but it's easy to swap over to the 909 and start taking measurements. If know one else is keen I am in.

I do all soldering under a microscope these days. I have not looked at the Marquee video circuit at all. The 8009 was an easy fit into the Barco circuit. Now it's cooling down I can get back into the shed and start playing again. At this stage it's the Sony 1292 I will looking at improving. Not sure if I need to go any further with the Barco as it looks razor sharp and silky smooth.

Ive tried the AD800x and the OPA695. The 695 works best but I only did this on the Vim's You need to play with the FB resters, get a bunch of values to test, the gain of the recommended ones for the gain we need makes it a bit too bright. its been a few years since I did this so I cont remember what I used and I was using the same vim for all this and its back to stock when I decided to try the adjustable Black level mod we talked about some where using the volume control for adding voltage . Been working with Vintage Audio gear lately guys so Have been out of the video loop for awhile . Miss it to be honest. I haven't watched a movie in over 5 months I think in the theater. maybe some day I'll get back to playing with all this again. Nashou In what way did you find the 695 better? The AD8009 looks really nice and clean in the Barco.
