What is the number of the i2c error that adress should lead you to the board failing. Might be something simple like the temp controller board.

Good idea for the astig.
For optical flapping I allways defocus the center to get a cross with a certain width I than turn the flapping screws untill these lines are even wide top and bottom and left and right. Than focus middle and corners. Works very fast!

Is it a newer model with a different R number your 2005 smps? Look at these Panasonic FM for the standby voltage Untitled by Radio Head, on Flickr

You can easy disconnect the subboard and try the other subboard so you know for sure. Check them to be certain but I found no different schematics for different smps models.

Hi I did not read all but your problems started after you changed a tube? Did you try to change the tube back? Some tubes ar bad from the factory. Sorry if this was already addressed.

Well finally happened for asking critical questions to a certain modifyer I got almost banned for life reason given is swearing. Yes I said fuck sometimes sorry for that to everyone. Happy customers did not like reading what I wrote and complained. Even Curt did not like his OWN forum anymore. How to deal with this. I ran into a lot of problems with my boards and even when I was just focussed on repairing happy customers blamed me for being critical. I feel I ran into a cult of guys that think themselve supperior when they have the mods and are ready to do almost everything to protect that feeling. I do not agree with them. Unmodded projectors look very good too when the owner does a loving setup. The mods well they keep changing and you have to buy again and again. For the attentive reader he may find the mods explained all over this board.

Think I learned to use this one better. At 250 degrees I can desolder smd easy. This works much faster than desolder wick.

Stanby or projector on is only little different in load to the +9v sub board ,beep means not necessarily bad . Look with scoop how +9v output looks like. Good idea!

Thanks Barclay. I get some of those.
I also baught the capacitors for the standby 9V. Strange thing is that with my peakatlas esr meter they measure ok but they beeeeep when the smps is on stand by. So I think they are close to failing?

One question from the person that send me these pictures is why does the R762292 with P19LUGs in a 1609 work with maximum G2? Is there a simple solution? Can we help him?

For the Barco guys! (and the rest . I received this picture from a R762119 coming from a 1991 Barco 1200 with Sony tubes. This seems to be an very earlie model? It seems to use the discrete Motorola transistors that Marquee uses too. 1991 neck board by Radio Head, on Flickr In these pictures are the 3x R762292 (coming 1200 from 92-93 and 1209-1209/2 from 1994-1997 ) (original with VPA13 130Mhz sanyo chips) for Panasonic tube and 1x R7621195 (coming 1200 from 92-93) for Sony tubes (this one is modified to 180MHz with VPA18 and voltage regulator). You can see brand new VPA18 chips and voltage regulators ready to be mounted. Custom heat sink. Someone tested 3x R762292 with P19LUGs in a 1609 they light up but with G2 to max. (probably need a jump wire somewhere on pins) Possible these could be modded 130Mhz-->180Mhz R762292 in newers 1209s / 909 frames. 180mhz neck card by Radio Head, on Flickr In the schematic section of the Barco 1200 there are pictures of schematics of the R762292 neckboard.

Yes I just found out that the 909 smps works with a hthd voltage that depends on line frequency too but it can be manually adjusted For horizontal width. Seems the neck is a bit more complicated in this aspect.
By the way is 50 V not a bit low for the G1?
