To soon. I can get all resolutions to work even with higher bandwidths but at a certain point the characters become unreadable with the Marquee.
I know the Marquee works with the oppo and 72Hz and I tried two Mac's. So it seems it just won't work with a Mac.

Ok I currently have a big Antec housing a Antec power supply an excellent videocard and a 500GB ssd.
I need a motherboard and a cpu and memory.
What is the minimum needed? Could I use some low power cpu and motherboard like Gjaky uses?
It need to fit in a big Antec case.

There are IR controls for pc, you can connet the IR receiver to the USB and there you go. I use a trackball mouse (without keyboard) that needs no space to move, if I really need a keyboard I use the on-screen keyboard.
I think anything you can buy now (except new-old stock crap) will play any 1080p content fluently.

Id buy something reasonably good, that way you can use it for years to come. I build my computers with far more than i need so if i wanted to i could use it for 8-10 years without the need to upgrade anything more than the video card.
When you say big Antec case, which model is it? I have the Twelve Hundred.

Yes the big Antec is a very old one I think the first silent case and has a question for me. Does a ATX board fit in it? Especially MSI X58 Pro? For video I have the asus gtx750ti Current cpu: amd athlon 64 3500 1GB memory I am thinking about MSI X58 Pro with core i7 might be hackintosh compatible for future I can get an upgrade set used with 6 GB memory and guarantee for 182 euro. Good idea the mouse with trackbal! Is it possible to connect the blue tooth trackpad to a windows pc? Needs a blue tooth stick I guess. Moederbord: MSI X58 Pro Processor: Intel Core i7 920 (8M Cache, 2.66 GHz, 4.80 GT/s IntelĀ® QPI) Geheugen: 6GB DDR3 Kingston Koeler: Spire Storm

Well the first questions that need to be asked are: 1)What is the output wattage of that "Antec" power supply? lol 2)Have you ever opened up that power supply to see how the caps are doing? PC power supplies are super common for swollen caps, even Antec. 3)How much ram does that video card you intend to use have and what type and speed is that ram?

It was not used nearly as much as intended. It has sata connectors and a power connector for the GPU. It was advanced for its time than! 3: GDR5 2GB www.asus.com/nl/Graphics-Cards/GTX750TIOC2GD5/specifications/Memory runs at 1350 MHz ( 5400 MHz GDDR5 )

The video card will be fine, 6 gigs of DDR3 will be fine, the 920 has enough power but i dont know where youd get one, mine failed under warranty and Intel sent me a 950 to replace it.
My older rig has all the same, but a Gigabyte X58 PRO mobo.
Ive never actually seen an Antec power supply fail over here, its all i use.

Yeah I did it! When using the standard 24p from the mac with the hdfury 4 I have 1080p@72 I used switchresx before for the 24p timings and that just did not work. The Marquee really looks better with 72 Hz. Now I do not need the pc but do not know what I will do yet. Might build it anyway.

bad news and good news. The bad news is that it works 24p through the hdfury but there is some kind of judder in action scenes. Not in pans. I also had a 72Hz resolution working with so very small porches that the image is outside the active area so useless but no judder of any kind. So my next (maybe last) Aplle atempt is to buy a specified 3d active mini displayport to hdmi cable. I have the idea that it is the chip in the current cable that causes most problems. The Apple cable seems to work with the Apple display only people say so that one goes back. The 3d club adapter is much cheaper too. www.club-3d.com/index.php/products/reader.en/product/mini-displayport-to-hdmi-active-3d-adapter-cable.html

What do you reckon is at fault here? The 24p judder suddenly was gone yesterday. It has something to do with mirroring the video on the Macbook pro display and the Moome. I do not know what exactly but it seems solvable. So that is good news again but anyhow I like to try the high bandwidth cable from 3dclub that has a better chip build in that can do 3d resolutions and 1080p @ 120 Hz. All the others are max 1920x1200 at 60 Hz I think. That the DVI from Apple does not work surprises me but others report problems too with that one and there is an endless search for working DVI cables with specific devices. But more good news. I just got the X58 pro i7. Also bought a Noisblocker M12 case fan that need 4 pins but I think I figured out how to use it with the 3 pin connectors on the motherboard. Now I have to dig deep. I have no software with the motherboard. Could I just plug a drive with windows 7 on it and download the drivers? Or put everything on a usb disk and boot from it? In my time we had cd drives
