Im not sure what parts out of a 1209 series will fit in the 909 series, but posting up some numbers might be worth a look.

I just compared schematics and the 1209s switcher will work to swap in. The jumper between J401 and J402 is also required.

Do the internal patterns come up?? Sorry KLO i didnt notice youd made it over here!! Ill post those pics again here. Yes, no problem with them, I can do everything with internal patterns: Geometry, Focus, Convergenc... etc... I can even converge (or apply any change) a "selected source"... but this is a bit boring exercise... just a green rectangle and a couple of coarse indicators into a pitch black tube (kidding here) Tomorrow I'll pull out all the switchers I have, and post some numbers and pictures, maybe We can find something usable.

He I have my original 909 switcher and there is no jumper cable but it certainly worked with port 3 and also with rgbhv if I remember well. So my guess is the jumper is not essential. partnumber: R7627195-05

I do not think it is your RGB driver board because the menu is injected on the switcher and so certainly green is going through the RGB driver well. So your video should show green at least if the switcher worked well.
some more information is that the video path of both switchers is the same but the layout is different on the 909 board I think the 909 board is improved upon the 1209/808 boards but as far as I could detect not in the video path. Probable the scaler connections and add on boards?

Mine both have the jumpers in positions as seen in pics, and i remember when i removed the LIMO-PRO scaler i left a jumper out and got no image, there is also a loop on the softedge socket too, that is on both my boards.

So as i asked in another place, ill ask here to keep it all together, how many groups of yellow wires go from your main board to your neck boards? Mine has two on the Cine, the 909 had 3 each.
The extras go to a small board in the tube area on my 909, but there is no socket on the main board for my Cine to connect this extra board to, so i dont know what it does. Greg told me he also has no idea what it does and that he always removes them anyway.
Id think its unlikely youve got an issue between the mobo and neck boards, 1 maybe, but not 3.
Although the OSD is injected at the switcher ( is it? ) i doubt that it would go through the complete video path, as in back through the LIMO-PRO or softedge modulator, etc etc...
There is a bloody huge amount of yellow wires going between that switcher and the LIMO, and i dont know what any of them actually do, theyre labeled things like DECODER etc, its a complex thing when you look into it...

Ok I might mess up the readability of this thread again but need to react The menu insert is in the switcher and comes through the cable that goes to the controller. It is inserted at the very last point just before the driver and even if the switcher does not work at all I think it will still let this signal through as it only uses a resistor. I happened to see the picture of the switcher in the 909 service manual and there are no jumper wires!

With composite video or RGB analog input ---> component for LIDO/LIMO : Now I wonder how you tell the switcher that there is a line doubler? It is a user input so somewhere in the menu's you have an option? If this option is not selected the video will not go through the J401/J402 path.

Just to be sure. Do you have this option set off? I do not know if it is possible to set it to on without a line doubler but anyway.
