Yesterday I used the drill to make a hole for passage of the hdmi cable. I caused strong vibrations to the projector chassis. I do not know if these vibrations may have caused the problem which I will describe later. Now not work the middle fan located in front of the horizontal board. I removed this fan and I connected it to an external power supply. It works. So the problem is not the fan itself. Suggestions?

The middle fan only comes on when the projector gets hot. The two outside fans run all the time.

It could be a fault on the power supply. Do you have another one to try.

Yes I can try. Below the message, after few seconds the projector switch off. All fans works except the rear middle as described. Attachments:

The control board for the centre rear fan is mounted near the rear remote sensor on the back ledge. Check it for metal shavings from your drilling or a loose connection from the vibration. The sensor for the centre fan is on the Horizontal board. I don't think there is much more to it.

Are you sure when power on the projector, the middle fan does not turn?

It only runs when it has to.
The sub board on the SMPS has caps that i found leaking, 2x 470uF 50v, and those caused my set to give the exact same error, even though the fans were all still running.

Domenico, don't blame the middle fan. Like others already stated, this one does not spin @ start up. It will kick in later, when will get hot. You have some 15 to 20 seconds time before the projector will shut down, so take a look at all four fans to see if they are spinning. A flash lite will help to check the front fans, usually is hard to see. If before drilling everything was fine, could be that from the vibrations the following things might happened: - fan is blocked by the wires or metal rests - a disconnected fan plug on the mainboard or on the little fan regulator-board R763706 - a loose jumper on the same regulator board Check those wires and plugs (unplug and plug back again if needed) on each fan and I bet the projector will run again.

The fan isn't blocked because I tried to connect the fan with external power supply. I checked the frontal fans, they works. The little interface have four slots. Two labeled "from frame 1 and 2". Two labeled "to fan 1 and 2". Only one cable is connected to frame and only one cable is connected to one fan (not middle). Attachments:

There is also a slot labeled "from controller" but there isn't cable connected. Near interface I don't see other cable.
