Yeah, than you have the older style mainboard. Don't worry about it.... Ok, good idea to swap the controller too. If this won't help neither, we'll have to follow more logical steps. Try to bypass the little fan-board in the front tray too. Plug the fan connectors in the J34 and J35 of the focus board directly. Also, check the position of the jumper S1 om that focus board (close to the fans connectors). Should be in the +12v position, not +FAN. We also know that the controller keeps an eye on those fans, not only to see if they spin, but also the temperature, the sense of spinning and the voltage. First look to see if all fans are spinning I the right direction ( who knows, maybe one plug is switched by mistake ). Than you should check your 17,3V rail on the SMPS again. Maybe the P1 port has drifted a bit from that drilling. Not enough to generate a scan fail or HDHT, but enough to influence the feedback voltage of the fans. We are not sure where the problem is, so we have to eliminate all the possibilities.

Tried to connect directly the fans to focus board connectors. Jumper to +12
No fix!
At start smps 17.5v but raise until 18v

Try swapping the fans one at a time with a known good spare, just unplug one fan and plug in the spare then test. If it stays on, the fan you unplugged is the issue. There should be enough space to let the fan sit somewhere safe for the testing, even if it hangs outside the set. You will know within a minute or two if you find a faulty fan.
I know they all spin, but that doesnt mean the fan sense wire is getting the signal it should.

I don't have NMB original spare fans. Do you think that I can try with Silenx or Noctua fans?

Wold you like me to send you a good working NMB fan to try ? Thank you Hulio. I found two NMB but 80mm models (front fans). I think are good for test.

No problem. For testing yes, they are ok. Don't forget, the middle pin on the fan-connector is not used.

It's incredible: I tried to replace one by one the fans. I tried to swap the controller also but absolutely not fix this damn issue.

Is there any chance the drill touched the main board and damaged a track?

Bummer. Try to swap the mini fan-boards R763706 ( the one from conv. tray in the back and vice-versa ).

I tried to bypass both fan's interfaces. I connected the frontal fans to focus board (jumper to "fan"). The question is: why the middle rear fan is always stop? Could be fault circuit of that fan? So justify the reason of the fail anything I do.

Is there any chance the drill touched the main board and damaged a track? The drill was far of main board. The vibrations could damage something but not directly.

I checked the Reality 909. The middle rear fan spin at projector power up.

That's normal for a BR909 firmware. On a CineMax / Cine 9, the horiz. board fan will start spinning when the SMPS becomes hot. On my 909, i flashed the controller with Cine 9 V2.21, i installed those two fan-boards and the middle fan does not spin at start up. If i watch a source, it will start spinning after some 10 min. for a short period of time ( till the SMPS is cool again ). No fan-fail errors. Think that the problem you have now, it was not in the beginning. Except that drilling work, did you changed anything else to the projector ?
