I never even noticed the front HDMI.
The front HDMI works. Tried CBL/Sat again, still doesn't work.

It is possible the CBL/SAT input is not working because of a setting so we will skip that one but it was important to see if the front 1 worked. Next value test the circled resistors and voltage test the +5v point.

I've changed the setting on CBL/Sat from Auto to HDMI and back, no change. I think I changed it from Opt to None as well. Regardless when it's plugged in I get no change from the front panel, like PCM or Dig(ital).
Dinner time, I'll check those points before I turn in.

R7288 = 0.3 Ohms R7289 = 0.4 Ohms R7290 = 0.2 Ohms R7291 = 0.3 Ohms R7292 = 0.4 Ohms R7293 = 0.2 Ohms R7294 = 0.2 Ohms R7295 = 0.1 Ohms
I'm unsure how I voltage test that point. Does the board need to be put back in the receiver and plugged in?
5V AC? Which ground should I use?

You don't by chance have another tv or monitor with HDMI to test, do you. I am going offline until tomorrow.

DC. Chassis should be fine for gnd.

You can test for the +5v at L7209 if you can find it if it is to hard to test on the HDMI connector.

All those points were on the bottom of the board so I had to remove it from the chassis. The HDMI points are also on the bottom, nearly impossible to get to that point if I have to put it back in and plug everything back together.
A DMM isn't something I use very often so this is new to me.

Ok, since I didn't get any voltage without the board plugged in (and it made sense to have it plugged in)...still nothing.
I found and measured across L7209 and got 0.00 with the unit plugged in, powered on but nothing else connected (no speakers, no inputs, etc).

Yes, I can probably find something else to test with. A monitor or TV.
I had no issue getting a picture via HDMI with the other AVR's using this TV.

When you say you tested across L7209, do you mean you tested with 1 probe on 1 side of it and the other probe on the other side of it? Or did you have the negative probe on chassis ground and used the positive probe to test both sides of it?

I tested across L7209, which now seems like the wrong thing to do. I'll be home in a few hours and I'll use a screw on the board as GND and test both sides of L7209.

Ok. 5.20V on both sides of L7209 using a screw for GND.

Were you able to test with another tv. I know you said this tv worked fine with the other receivers but there are some Denons that have some HDMI problems with certain brand tv's. I am not seeing anything to cause no video yet.
